After community service, Dr Mxo established a private practice in Cradock in the Karoo Heartland. Working during the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic inspired a deep commitment to HIV care.
She completed a Diploma in HIV Management through the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa in 2010, followed by a postgraduate diploma in HIV/AIDS at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2013.
In January 2019, she moved to Howick and established Royal Medical Centre. Today, she works alongside a dedicated team to bring a broad range of healthcare services together in one location.
